Ultra Wine Cellar: Dennis and Pamela Barnedt

When wine enthusiasts Dennis and Pamela Barnedt designed their gorgeous luxury home in Lake Tahoe, Nevada, they knew that they wanted a custom racking system for their wine cellar display in order to showcase their impressive collection of fine wines. This led them to contact Ultra Wine Racks & Cellars to design and build a wine racking system fit for their home.

“We showed them what I wanted,” says Dennis.  “They showed us what they had previously made, and we combined that together to come up with what I consider the perfect product.”

The result was a four-foot by six-foot Ultra Horizon Window Display, a horizontal racking system with a tiered angle display featuring ample room at the top for lighting.  Dennis wanted a very visual wine look, “so that my friends would come over to the house and would be able to choose the wine that they wanted out of my display.” The racking system he selected holds 160 bottles in a label-out position behind a large glass window. This allows him to exhibit his entire collection while giving easy access to the bottles inside the wine cellar.

“Ultra Wine Racks designed the correct depth between the bottles, how they laid out, and how they flowed down from the top to the bottom,” Dennis reports, “and then we had the window put in front after the installation of the Ultra Wine Racks product.”
