Tristyn & Kamohai’s Rock the Block Season 6 Wine Room
Rock The Block Season 6
Season 6 of HGTV’s Rock the Block dialed up the drama and design stakes with a fresh twist: veteran teams faced off against rookies in a high-stakes competition set just outside Salt Lake City, Utah. Each duo had only six weeks and a $250,000 budget to transform matching properties with panoramic mountain views and some of the largest backyard lots in the show’s history, all in pursuit of a street named after them.
This time, Ultra Wine Racks made a standout appearance. Our sleek Minimalist Series wine racks were featured prominently on the show, showcasing a modern, artful approach to wine display that captures attention and admiration.
The Designers: Tristyn & Kamohai Kalama

This season, Rock the Block introduced audiences to Tristyn and Kamohai Kalama, the husband-and-wife team behind HGTV’s Renovation Aloha. Known for blending modern luxury with the warmth of island style, the Kalamas brought a bold, “Moody Modern” aesthetic to their Season 6 home.
Their design stood out with open layouts, layered textures, and natural finishes but the real show-stopper was their use of Ultra Wine Racks’ Minimalist Series. The racks seamlessly complemented their sleek yet grounded aesthetic, turning wine storage into a centerpiece rather than an afterthought.
The Masterpiece: Basement Bar & Wine Room
For Season 6, Tristyn and Kamohai Kalama took their design vision underground, literally. In the basement of their “Moody Modern” home, the couple created a jaw-dropping movie theatre room with an adjoining bar and custom wine room. This lower-level masterpiece offered both entertainment and elegance, making it one of the most memorable spaces of the season.
At the heart of the wine room, the Kalamas showcased 9 Ultra Wine Racks HZ Minimalist (1-Sided, 1-Deep). These racks transformed the cellar into a sleek gallery of bottles, giving the room both capacity and contemporary flair. The linear design and matte black finish of the Minimalist Series echoed the bold tones of the basement lounge while contrasting beautifully with the lighter wood floors.
The result was a functional showpiece where wine storage became both a statement and an experience, elevating the Kalamas’ basement from simply stylish to unforgettable.
